Initial research will be conducted into either a maternal or paternal ancestral line as far back as the early 1800's. Research can be conducted on a generation by generation basis at the basic hourly rate and will include any documentation unearthed in the form of the Census Returns, Parish Register Transcripts of Baptisms, Births, Marriages and Deaths.
Speciality packages are available for those wishing to go back several generations of either a maternal or paternal line (or both) or into more depth with a particular individual or line of their tree.

£10 per hour research fee
(min. 2 hours for initial consultation, hourly thereafter or upgrade to speciality package).
Following the intial consultation, depending on the information provided by the client Days Gone By... will condict preliminary research, detailing any ancestors found in a written report and family tree, and will include any copies of documentation sourced and routes of further research.
£15 per hour Public Records Search
(min. 2 hours, hourly thereafter)
This includes visits to Public Record Repositories in the surrounding area including Durham, Northallerton and Tyne and Wear. Any documentation discovered will be provided to the client, along with the opportunity for a written report and routes of further research.
Gift Vouchers are available for those wishing to purchase family history research on behalf of a loved one for a unique and personal gift. Prices start at £20 for an initial two hours of research. Gift Vouchers for Speciality Packages and Deluxe Presentations are also available.
